Year 6 children will complete a  course of swimming lessons. By the time children leave primary school each pupil is required to be able to do the following:

• Perform safe self-rescue in different water based situations
• Swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres
• Use a range of strokes effectively, for example, front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke.

Year 6 swimming result for 2019/20

1) Swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres = 74%

2) Use a range of strokes effectively = 63%

3) Perform safe self-rescue in different water based situations = 53%
