Coronavirus

2nd March 2020

Dear Parents and Carers

Following my letter last week about Coronavirus, I just want to reassure parents again that we are keeping up to date with the latest guidance from Public Health England, the Government and Essex County Council. As you know, advice is fast-moving and changing but we are regularly being updated and are responding as such.

I completely understand that there will be some anxiety among parents and carers – and in some instances the children themselves, but can assure you that we are following advice and recommended procedure and will continue to do so. As always, the safeguarding and welfare of our children and our school community is our highest priority.

If for any reason, following any medical advice, you consider that you may need to self- isolate your child, please could you advise the school as soon as is practically possible.

I can also confirm that we are taking additional steps with regard to disinfecting surfaces, just as a precautionary measure.

If information or advice changes, we will, of course, keep you updated.

Should you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely

Sarah Hurwood
