Sports Day

Dear Parents & Carers,
SPORTS DAY
Sports day, weather permitting, will be on Tuesday 3rd July. KS1 Sports will start at 9.30am and KS2 at 1.30pm. You are welcome to come and support your child. A decision about cancellation will be made by 9 am for KS1 and by 1pm for KS2. In the event of this, we will attempt it again on Wednesday 4th July. We will try to ‘tweet’ this information to you at the earliest opportunity.
Children should wear correct P.E. uniform, which is white P.E. shirt, with green trim and school logo and green shorts. On this occasion children may, if they choose, wear trainers. However please ensure these are clearly named as the school will accept no responsibility for ‘lost’ trainers. If the weather is hot, a sun-hat and sun cream is advisable.
Should everything go according to plan and Sports Day goes ahead, we would stress that whilst natural competitiveness comes into such an event, the staff place greater emphasis on participation and on the children having an enjoyable day. We hope that the pupils will only receive positive encouragement from spectators.
Although we are happy for you to take photographs of your own child during this event we must stress that photographs containing other pupils MUST NOT be posted on social media sites. We have a number of children in school whose parents do not wish their child’s photograph to appear on websites or social media.
